Learning with LOUIS: MobileCirc: From Circulation to Weeding

Did you know that MobileCirc and BLUEcloud MobileCirc are one and the same?
This session is great for circulation, cataloging, and technical services staff. It will include demos of how to use MobileCirc for inventory, weeding, and kiosk mode for the self check interface.
MobileCirc can free you to move out from behind the circulation desk to meet users anywhere and perform many circulation tasks on-demand, where they are needed. This presentation will provide an overview of the features of MobileCirc, including: inventory, weeding, user registration, working with the hold shelf list and more. At the end of this presentation, you will:
• Understand the circulation tasks MobileCirc can assist you with
• Learn what peripheral options are available
• Start imagining ways MobileCirc can help you with upcoming tasks in your library!

Note:  There was a question at the end of the presentation regarding whether or not there is a power save feature that will log you out if you are inactive for a certain period of time? 

Answer: There is an idle timeout in the General Settings of the app, although certain device’s lock screens seem to interfere with the setting (MBC-491).  There is an active enhancement request to extend this timeout past the current max of 60m, as well (MBC-603).
