To set up a customized policy list:

- Log into WorkFlows as a user with access to the Configuration toolbar and Customized Policy List wizard.
- Go to the Configuration toolbar.
- Select the Customize Policy List wizard from the Common Tasks group of wizards.
- Note: If the Customize Policy List wizard does not appear in the Common Tasks group of wizards on the Configuration toolbar, please see: How do I Add Customize Policy List Wizard to My Toolbar
- Go to the appropriate tab for the policy to be customized.
- Highlight the desired policy and select the "Customize" next step button.
- Note: The first time the Customize Policy List wizard is used, a confirmation dialog box appears and asks whether to customize these policies system-wide or by library. Select either the System-Wide or Per Library radio button.
If System-Wide is selected, the lists created will apply to all libraries.
If Per Library is selected, the lists created will only apply to the selected libraries.By default, System Wide is selected
- Note: The first time the Customize Policy List wizard is used, a confirmation dialog box appears and asks whether to customize these policies system-wide or by library. Select either the System-Wide or Per Library radio button.
- Select radio button for "Includes selected policies" or "Excludes selected policies" as desired.
- Select the boxes for the policies to be included or excluded from drop down menus as desired.
- Save changes.
- Once policy lists have been customized as desired, customized policy lists will need to be turned on for the User Access policies:
- Go to the Access Control Configuration group of wizards on the Configuration toolbar.
- Select the User Access wizard.
- Highlight the desired User Access policy from the list and select the "Modify" next step button.
- On the Basic tab, select the box for "Show customized policy lists" under the "Properties" field.
- Save changes.
- The change(s) will go into effect after a halt/run of the servers. This happens nightly but if you would like one during working hours, open a task ticket and we can coordinate it.
It is not possible to create a customized policy list of Libraries. In other words, the system will not allow for the inclusion or exclusion of Library policies from drop down menus.
